NetU has awarded, in a Consortium with KING ICT, the implementation of the Second Generation of the National Schengen Information System and SIRENE System for the Republic of Croatia. The contract was signed in December 2014 and the implementation of the system will be completed by December 2015.

The Schengen Information System is a highly efficient large-scale information system that supports external border control and law enforcement cooperation in the Schengen States. The system enables competent authorities, such as police and border guards, to enter and consult alerts on certain categories of wanted or missing persons and objects and to be instructed on what to do when the person or object has been found.

This is the 3rd Schengen project awarded to NetU, after Cyprus and Greece, establishing NetU as one of the main suppliers of Schengen systems in Europe.
