A new release brings a wealth of extra features
NetSuite users are in for a treat with the upcoming release of NetSuite 2021 which is set to take the business world by storm over the next few months. Current customers will be upgraded gradually from February to April.
Let’s take a look at what’s new…
Increased automation and smart financials
NetSuite 2021 introduces centralized subsidiary purchasing and billing. This allows consolidation of purchases across multiple organisations and offers the ability to generate payments from one location, thus reducing the amount of purchase orders generated, and improving dispatch time and management. We will now also see expenditure being validated against a pre-set budget, so there is no risk of overspending. Transaction time can also be reduced with the ability to approve or reject transactions by email, so you can deal with transaction even when you are not at your desk. Importing of financial data from overseas has also been streamlined and improved.
Project Lifestyle optimisation
NetSuite 2021 introduces us to SuiteProjects, a services automation service that serves to enhance the current NetSuite project management resources, making NetSuite truly comprehensive. Purchases can be initiated directly from projects, collaboration has been made easier, and there have been some useful additions to the expanded expense report policies.
Automating Inventory Management
With the new touchscreen packing solution, NetSuite Pack Station, sending packages is made much easier to organise. Multiple packages can be packed simultaneously, shipments can be consolidated and package weights can be scanned in directly from scales. The Warehouse Management System has also been enhanced in NetSuite 2021 with the addition of wave automation, tally scans, automatic label printing and more.
Analytics and Platform
Extra work has been done on localisation to ensure users worldwide can get the very most from NetSuite, regardless of their language or location. New application performance management dashboards have been introduced and support for REST web services has been enhanced. SuiteScript APIs have also been made more powerful and easier to use.
