As you may be aware, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018, substantially reinforcing the control of individuals over their personal data and attempting to unify the data protection environment within the European Union by simplifying regulations.

The GDPR has already considerably changed the way we think and act regarding privacy in the European Union, with organizations being expected to significantly strengthen their privacy and data protection measures.

As part of its commitment to the success of its customers, NetU can assist you get prepared and achieve compliance with the GDPR requirements. A two-stage approach has been formulated which consists of the following two types of services:
  • An Impact Assessment service. This service includes a structured review of your processing activities from a data protection compliance perspective in relation to your IT systems. It may also be extended, to cover a review of your privacy policies and procedures as well as a review of your legal basis for processing personal data. It will aim to discover possible compliance gaps, propose required actions, and assist you with the prioritization of their implementation;
  • A Fulfilment service. NetU can help you design and implement any new data protection processes you need to comply with the GDPR and/or improve your existing one. It also includes the provision of the appropriate expert resources in order to execute the identified actions, implement the required technological measures and controls and efficiently addressing the GDPR compliance concerns.
Additionally, three services required by the GDPR can be offered upon request:
  • Training. NetU offers training that helps the organizations to educate their employees on important compliance requirements and train their staff involved in data processing.
  • Monitoring & Operational Compliance service. NetU’s Monitoring and Operational Compliance service enables regular evaluations of the effectiveness of both the organizational and technical measures for ensuring and continually improving the security of processing and data protection. 
  • DPO Appointment service. This service is offered to organizations that process or store large amounts of personal data and covers all responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer as stated in the GDPR Article 39, including but not limited to education & training, audits, monitoring, etc.
